Perceived Stress Scale (PSS)
The PSS is a long-established adult self-report measure of perceived stress. the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Toolbox initiative adapted and validated a norm-referenced 10-item self-report version of the PSS for use with 13–17 year olds (Kupst et al., 2015). The PSS was originally published by Cohen et al. (1983) and is used with permission as part of the NIH Toolbox. It has two short form versions: 4-item version and 10-item version.
