Strength, Assistance with walking, Rising from a chair, Climbing stairs, and Falls questionnaire (SARC-F)
The SARC-F is a 5-item self-report measure8 of strength, assistance with walking, rising from a chair, climbing stairs, and falls to identify which individuals should be referred to a full diagnostic test for sarcopenia. SARC-F items were selected to reflect health status associated with the consequences of sarcopenia. SARC-F raw summed scores range from 0 to 10 (i.e., 0–2 points for each component; 0 = best health and 10 = worst health) and are dichotomized to represent presence or absence of sarcopenia (4+).
